After successfully taking celebrities back to their alma mater, the organisers of Celebrity Back To School Initiative, Ballywalls Integrated, is back on the beat again. This time, it’s the turn of Nollywood diva, Iyabo Ojo, to be taken back to her former school.
The actress will be taking her philanthropic gestures to her alma mater, National College, Gbagada, Lagos on Tuesday June 17, 2014 by 10.00am. According to the oganisers, the CBS initiative is aimed at taking celebrities irrespective of their fields back to their alma mater where they will mentor the students, donate handsomely and generally give back to the school.
“The major aim of the initiative is for the celebrities to bring back nostalgic feelings of wearing their school uniforms, join other students on the assembly, and attend classes. It is an opportunity for them to relieve fond memories of their school days,” Wale Balogun, CEO, Ballywalls, said.
Speaking on the programme, Iyabo enthused: “I am excited to be involved in this project. It is my joy to touch lives positively and this will further give me opportunity of visiting my former school after so many years. I am already relishing this memory and I can’t wait to put on my school uniform again.”
Other celebrities that have participated in the programme include Hafiz Oyetoro aka Saka and Alhaja Gbolahan Daodu, Chairperson, Lagos State SUBEB.
