Nollywood actress and producer, Iyabo Ojo’s has started showing her latest movie, Silence at the Silverbird Cinema. The movie which was premiered to Nigerians in Lagos last year December has been the talk of the town for some months now.
The movie, ‘Silence’ focuses on child abuse which is viewed as a crime against humanity as it preaches rescue against Sexual abuse, domestic abuse, emotional and mental abuse. The movie was directed by one of the directors of popular TV series, Tinsel, Alex Mouth.
Though, those who went to see the first premiere last week had different views about the technical and scripting aspects of the movie which featured notable faces in Television production and nollywood such as Tina Mba; model, voice-over artist and television presenter,Joseph Benjamin;Alex Osifo and Iyabo’s first daughter, Priscilla Ojo.
The screening was said to have witnessed a low turn out viewers on the firs day but when contacted, Iyabo Ojo disclosed that she was given an early time on on the first and second day, adding that subsequent screenings would be done in the afternoon.
Asked about how she felt about the turn out of viewers, the mother of two, said” We got early time for the first and second screenings but that has changed now.”
The truth is I can’t really comment on the turn out now but I can tell you that viewers would enjoy the movie because of the message we are passign across”.
