High Chief Raymond Aleogho Dokpesi, the Executive Chairman of Daar Communications, owners of African Independent Television (AIT) andRaypower is sparing no cost to give a befitting final burial to his mother-in-law,Otunba Letticia Ogungbe, whose remains will be interred today in Ago Iwoye, Ogun State.
The burial ceremony, E24-7 MAGAZINE can authoritatively reveal, will be broadcast to a global audience on AIT. Dokpesi is married to beautiful Moji, the first daughter of lateOtunba Ogungbe whose son is world famous and multiple award winning broadcaster, Kenny Ogungbe, the Managing Director, Raypower's Radio Services.
As at yesterday, the Outside Broadcast (OB) van of AIT had been strategically located and set to pick feeds from Ago-Iwoye, the university town, which has been receiving guests since Thursday from all walks of life. Most of the guests have found a home inOtunba Sesan Rufai's Limelite Hotel. One of the early guests is High Chief Dokpesiwho inspected the top-notch facilities in the sprawling hotel and later had a good time at the newly opened Club Stardom. Prior to his departure, he took his time to hobnob withOtunba Sesan Rufai and the retinue of staff of Limelite. He described Rufai as his son and wished him and his chain of businesses growth. Rufai was a former staff of Daar Communications.
The event which promises to be colourful and carnival-like will have a constellation of music and movie stars in attendance with Juju music sensation, Queen Ayo Balogun on the bandstand.
